In the Hebrew scriptures, "salvation" is a literal, physical "rescue"... NEVER a spiritual, mystical experience~ nor is it an escape from an eternal torment/hell some day in "eternity". The "born again" conversion experience is NOT in the Hebrew scriptures-- however, it IS in other writings/teachings of false pagan religions/beliefs.
The MAIN basis of Christianity is a supernatural, spiritual, mystical "salvation" experience. THAT is the very foundation of Christianity. But that thought comes exclusively from the "new testament", which is almost entirely OPPOSITE of the Hebrew scriptures-- the SAME scriptures that the "new testament" is suppose to SUPPORT and CONFIRM. When the Hebrew scriptures are read as a whole in proper context, it becomes a very DIFFERENT picture than what Christianity paints. Once the "Greek philosophy" is removed from the "interpretation", it is CLEARY a written record that is LITERAL and LOGICAL... VOID of hidden secret meanings and codes that can only be revealed through a spirit/"Holy Ghost".
YHWH was very CLEAR and PLAIN with Israel... He revealed Himself to the ENTIRE "nation"-- which was NO SECRET. He spoke to them through men and TOLD them EXACTLY what was required of them-- which was NO SECRET. He TOLD them what would happen if they were obedient-- NO SECRETS, and He told them what would happen if they were not obedient-- NO SECRETS. On a few occasions, He even TOLD them that He was NOT speaking to them through "hidden messages", but was speaking to them PLAINLY.
